  You are kidding here right?  Of course your character does not know.  But if you take your statement to it's extent...  There would be no need for ANY lore.  I mean your character would not know (or know very little) about what is happening.  So why have any background?

I think you're missing the point. I was refuting the claim that since we (as players) already know what happens to Saruman, it somehow helps invalidate the premise of the raid. It doesn't. If it did, the entire premise of the game would be invalid.

To be honest, the content is repetitive, but if you read the quests in RoI and do them in combination with the epic quest line, it's fun to do on one character; Only if you also play on alts, it's getting boring, but when you lvl not too fast and only one character, then it's nice to do.

The main problem is they make playing on alts less and less enjoyable, there is almost no incentive for it, because you have to grind an awfull lot
