Ohhh a Moria cleanup (get rid of some of the too many taxi/pizza quests, more travel routes, improved maps) would be really nice to have.

All I know is that when I logged on tonight I saw a launcher message that appeared, to my tired eyes, to read "Break like the wind".

Wow, I think I just realized how long I've been gone. Update 7 has been revealed? I still haven't done much of Update 6.

anything in U7 address the lag?

I dont care about new content really, moria? Im not going back, thanks anyway. Lotro for me is PvP with my hunter until my VIP expires and then I'll casually play my warg(got enough TP banked to bring him in). It will be nice to have a premium account to use should I get bored with the next game on the horizon.

They can have all the releases they want if they put their head in the sand and do nothing about the lag people will drop. Saw a couple of people in GLFF bitching about lag in one of the 3 man's so its not moors exclusive.

Well, I'm glad to see a response that at least is not a flat out denial or claim it's not their issue. My pitchfork is in the relaxed/lowered position now. :P One can hope what is implied - namely investigative work has been done and perhaps we'll see an improvement with U7 - has some connection to reality.

I didnt read through the whole thing, but have they tied the stable mounts/hitching to the lag? Im still not clear if they are on in the same. Im sitting in TA having it out with 30 creeps and 24 freeps is some poor soul riding from bree to the forsaken inn causing the lag?

That looks like a copypasta of what he said before update 6.1. Is this the Draigoch bug 2.0 where every new set of patch notes will contain the same statement?

D3 is coming out tomorrow, and GW2 soon after that.  Even if those aren't vacuums to suck up Turbine's playerbase in the long term, people will be exploring options in the short term ... which may well turn into long term diversions.

Turbine should step up its coding game; it's long past being embarrassing for them.

Ok... this is just funny. You'd expect that they try to keep in mind they're running a networked game which inevitably experiences lag spikes once in a while... I'm still seeing fellowship-wide lagspikes and the Challenge quest in the Waterwing of Fornost consists of jumping around on small platforms without falling in the water. Ever tried to land properly while you appear to be hovering in mid-air for a second? :P

I just spent a few hours in the GW2 stress test, and OH MY GOD.  It's so beautiful.  And D3 is just hours away.

However, I was trying LOTRO the other evening on the new machine and while I noticed a bit of hitching, it was nothing like it was on the old comp.  Not gonna say Turbine is blameless, but more of it may have been on my end than I realized.

I think for me it's ultimately going to be a question of how I want to spend my gaming time.

;)
