I love it!!  Once again Turd-Bine introduced some undocumented change that screws the hell out of the average player and then of course makes an "offcial thread" for posts thats usually HiPSed to some out of the way spot on the forums as to make sure that the general population cant see how inept Turd-Bine really is. Obvioulsy players are still having issues with that steaming pile of crap called U6 and The SaP has made an "Official Thread" for it and even has the cajones to say it still may not be Turd-Bines fault but to please post here anyways. What a D-Bag.

The lag isnt fixed, its better but you get into a raid V raid fight in the moors with good numbers? Good luck, major lag spikes. Im doing the GW2 beta this weekend and my VIP runs out in august for lotro so things are looking up.

Sadly Im still banned on the forums and cant comment any more but when and if It expires I'll go back there and post.

I was raiding in Orthanc last night. I guarantee you, lag is not fixed. We were doing fine on the Codger... till we were forced to re-do phase 2 because lag meant 2 people couldn't use their rings, one guy got disconnected, another died in 2 seconds flat... Oh, we got him 2nd attempt, no deaths, but... No lag? Pull the other one. St Paul's will chime with Big Ben & Canterbury...

Even solo play gets its lag spikes, and it's getting quite old now.  If I were in charge of Turbine, I would suspend all other development and have a group of veteran developers go over the code with a fine-toothed comb until it the problem was identified, isolated and repaired.

A bunch of solo skirms last night would indicate still plenty of lag induced issues.

I still think that some individual (not really the company) made up the fix that was supposed to come in 6.1.  There was pressure to get the negative PR out of the way for the 5-year anniversary and pressure leads to inaccuracies.  Only afterwards did people learn that the fix didn't solve any of the observed issues.

Overall not a great performance, neither technical nor communication wise.

My sub has been done. I came close to doing one more month to bridge the gap between when it expired and D3 but am glad I didnt. I was even able to haggle a refund on a points purchase.  I dusted off my Warden after a 1+ years haitus and bought a points bundle because he was behind on virtues and had no desire to grind him up to date. Needless to say their what ever they did made him completely unplayable (I couldnt even log into him) so I got a full rebate after some haggling. Turbine will never see one penny out of me again, Im sick of paying for shit programming and also funding the Saps salary. If I ever even play this game again it will be as a FtP mooch.

I don't quite understand what went wrong there. By "unplayable", do you mean that game mechanics changes had made the character setup useless? But then you say you couldn't log in, so was the character or account deleted somehow? (In which case how did you decide that the character was unplayable?)

I would expect that any of those things could be fixed somehow.

There was a problem affecting some players where they couldn't log in their Wardens, some people could get round this by first logging in another other class then but not sure if it worked for everyone

I've never encountered this problem before and I'm only playing my Warden. The other 2 characters are just for storage.

Likewise I've not experienced any problems with basic login or what have you with my Warden. I have been avoiding questing with him (he's close to undying title, and don't want to lose it while lag and gambit problems abound), just festival and vault duties... and in that regard, no issues.

There is another thread right now where somebody accuses Turbine of having stolen his Warden access because he can't log into his Waden character.

I have personally experienced this. I think it was one of the updates introduced it, rather than RoI itself. If I tried logging my Warden first, the loading bar would either stay empty or fill, but I would never get into the game, LotRO would refuse to release the screen if alt+tabbed; my only recourse was Task Manager, where the game would appear Not Responding.

For me, it seems to have been fixed recently. I discovered I now can log my Warden without needing to log another alt first. As I only did that, by accident, in the last few days, I can't say when the fix appeared. It seems that Turbine, typically, would rather not admit that the problem was real, rather than claim the credit for fixing it, assuming they have...

It wasn't just Wardens that had a problem. Recently I had been unable to log in my mini and champ on withy and my mini on laurelin (all three level 75). The only way to get them in was to disable my sound card. There was some serious screwing up with update 6 and only very recently have I been able to uncross my fingers while the loading bar has crawled to 100%.

I worked with turbine tech support on the warden not logging in issue. I could log warden in only after logging in another character first. First time I tried to log warden in first after 6.1, it worked. So I ended the tech communication thinking it was resolved. Next time I tried to log that character in first, it would not load in. I haven't logged in at all since then (been on vacation) and after reading that whole thread, I won't be logging in until it's 100% resolved. The skill lag is just atrocious for me.

Then its highly likely you wont be logging in. 100% resolved dosent look like part of the equation for turbine and issues. the lag is still there, good luck trying to get gambits off in a raid or in the moors during large fights. I've literally be in raids the leader is telling us "chieftan is down to 15k health" and I am looking at him and he is still at 80k.

The lag is really bad, as far as logging in and getting the warden started from what I have read on the forums thats been corrected, or rather the work around where you log another char first then log the warden. (so yeah not a 100% lol)

That's interesting.

I've never encountered that login problem yet.

I play regularly my warden who's in a far better condition and she has recovered much of her pre U6 vivacity with the last update.
But even without the latest patch I had no such problem. I don't know if the fact that I am usually playing from linux has something to do with it ( I doubt it ).

As for the lag it definitely exists and is very annoying. Actually this is the only problem when playing my warden. gambits do not fire properly.
