The mighty Sap posted a link to all the Turbine jobs.
Here is that link:

I noticed that quite a few of those jobs require some experience with Xbox and PS console systems, especially the QA testing.  Does this mean that Turbine will bring LOTRO to the consoles, or am I reading too much into this?

The latter, I think.
This might just be related to that other unnamed project they're working on, rather than anything LOTRO related.

That was in the works before F2P.

This is probably in support of the unnamed console game Turbine has been working on for years. I expect they borrowed devs from that team to ramp up content in LOTRO, and are now trying to get the dev team built up again for their other game.

Funny how Sapience is passing that off as LOTRO getting more dev resources ^_^

A job opening like that was available a couple of years ago. See http://www.icgamers....r-consoles.html

There also is the curious case of a new OpenGL backend in LOTRO which seems to be a straight copy of Wine's Direct3D to OpenGL converter.

Some platform change is definitely in the works.  Prepare to welcome your graphical frontend bug overlords.

Is it possible they are going OpenGL to take LOTRO off of the "Games For Windows" platform, and open it up for a real Mac and Linux client?

Sure, the question is why. A move to Steam, with Steam also heavily pushing toward multiplatform could be an explanation.

Turbine has already stated they are not working on a console version of LOTRO...but then again, they also stated they wouldn't be moving to micro-transacitons.

I'm pretty sure they are working on a console MMO based on the Harry Potter series. I also believe that the Runekeeper and Warden were test models for characters in what will probably be called "Harry Potter Online".

Another clue is that the domain harrypotteronline.com used to point to the Harry Potter movie site, but now you get a "...taking too long to respond." message, the same thing that happened right before the site for "Injustice" went online.
