I'm guessing they realized they had no legal ground to stand on.

Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth, though.

Might need one of those beers to get rid of it.  7(8)7

Ha, nice one! Looks like they decided to bring out the fire extiguishes before the fire spread too far from their little corner of the internet. I'd love to think it was done out the goodness of their hearts, not because they knew they were rapidly sinking in their own bullshit, but we all know that ain't true :D Result!

'Candid feedback' over which they banned a lot of people and/or gave infractions?

I was thinking of buying RoR Legendary now (has 6th bag, 1000TP and crystal of remembrance more than RoI but costs about £12 more). Then I realised that with Sap being the only one to announce it, and on the forums, they may have the wiggle room to say 'oops, no sorry we didn't mean that', screwing over anyone who bought it because of this new change.

I'll wait till they have it on the Store page before I think of buying now. I don't trust them, especially after claiming that their FAQ doesn't count as product information. Forums must count for even less.

A wise choice, based upon their history.

The store page (http://rohan.lotro.com/pre-order.html) has the TP reflected at least. I'm not seeing anything about the instance cluster.

Well, I think I'm still going to wait till they have a sale on it on their online store after release. The pre-purchase bonuses aren't enough to stop me waiting at this point.

My thoughts as well. It's just extra fluff that's annoying to delete. Whoever thought those boxes are undestroyable (from RoI) should be shot. For the amount of times that I have to individually remove the gloves, the hauberk, the boots, the shoulders, the circlets... :P

A complete turnaround! Base edition now looks more attractive, but I'm still waiting until nearer the time. Well done everyone who made them do it!

Interesting choice of wording they used. They "added" TP, but "confirmed" the cluster is part of the expansion, implying that nothing else was ever intended.

They never made a decision either way until now.

Sure they did. They always intended the IC to be a part of the RoR purchase from the web store, but decided that stirring up the hornet's nest would give the game all kinds of publicity. And in the end, when they finally 'relented' and 'put the IC back in the expansion purchase', they could make it look like they were giving players a better deal, when in fact the deal is really no different than it was prior to the announcement that the IC would not be in the purchase. Oh, sure, you get some TP too, but that has zero monetary value by Turbine's own admission.

They acted like jerks, and now try to come off as "good guys", when in fact it is all just manipulation. this was all planned well in advance, I am quite sure.

I don't think they ever published a decision that pre-purchase customers would definitely have to pay.

Well they said it wouldn't be free to those who pre-purchased RoR. Kind of implies that you would have to pay (though there was speculation that VIPs would get them for free).
