"You have to watch what you're doing over here" So other bits are EZ-mode? Natch. They expect you to be brain-dead.
Looks crap. And I wasn't talking about Ricky!
I find that, where Turbine is concerned, optimism is a mayfly that lasts two seconds in the face of the blowtorch of experience.

Though I did laugh at how out of breath Thick Heaton was getting just asking questions. 'What about a minstrel? What's it like to heal on horse back? *struggling to breath*'

To me, it looks really freaking boring. It seems far too much effort to kill a single mob. Why on earth would I want to run past it and hit and have to turn around to run past it and hit it again? And look at that huge landmass that's 3 times the size of Moria! That big, empty landmass with mobs spaced far apart.
Any tidbits we've been getting have left me feeling completely meh about this "expansion". I find it sad I'm doubting whether I'll be playing Lotro come September... not that I'm playing much now. I just log in for raids as my alliance wants to get all the fights and challenges completed.

But I have to admit that the video isn't really interesting overall. (Might be more interesting for me if they had subtitles..

True. I think most people who want big empty landmass were really asking for it in places we know we'll never get otherwise. Zones in Eriador and west of Enedwaith/Dunland, for example. Having it in an expansion (and an overpriced, void of content expansion) wasn't really what I had in mind.
Basically, wide open spaces as free little additions along with usual content updates = good. Wide open spaces in an expansion that's already pretty lacking = bad.

So long as MERP exists, I and a friend can go there anytime we like.

That sounds so very lame. So lame that I even threw up just a little bit. Imagination is all well and good but a game is just so much better! If I could get one wish (a wish limited to only 'what game do you want to exist?'), I'd look for a game like Skyrim but set in Middle-earth... the whole of Middle-earth.

And rick isn't surprising at all... he's just bad, as he always was. Hello, I'm the fat guy in the video but I have some importance since I manage the community of your favorite video game, so listen to me.
When I go back to watch interviews of Patience, this makes me want to cry. Really.

Don't knock it until you've tried it. Between me and a few friends, we blew Turbine's storylines out of the water with pen-and-paper, and we went far beyond Turbine's/ME Enterprises' boundaries.
