Why they still insist on merging PvE with PvMP is beyond me. They really should keep the PvMP system wholly separate and allow freeps to be unique and able to be built up like creeps are.

It appears someone in turbine got into the Gw2 beta given the reworked keep and outpost mechanisms. Not a bad change really. There is one large omission from the diary which isnt moors specific but is applicable. The new cap and gear with the expansion will increase freep DPS and heals. Now the answer from the diary seems to be increasing creep damage output. The problem there is the same problem you had when Audacity hit, the two sides are not at an equal point.
Increase creep damage is a good thing, if nothing else changed it would make the moors more balance on its own. So a creep starts at 5 he gets a +3 damage he is at 8. freep starts at 7 he gets +3 damage he is at 10. Yes its really that simple, % chance to crit still vastly imbalances damage output and freep crit chances havent been nerfed with this update.
My R8 warg with a high damage build cannot crit over 1500, and thats happened twice (1300) range. A 75 freep (soon to be 85) can crit 2k plus multiple times a night. I suspect a lot of people will get lost in the fluff (OC And EC have moved, YAY!!!!that what we really wanted!!!!!) but in the end, the core problem of damage output remains.
Have fun grinding up your audacity if you come in late to the party. That 1v1 with a champ at lvl 14 and your still at 7 because you were gone for a few months? Well thems the brakes, sound familiar? Same pig, more lipstick.

Thats one of the big issues I have with Audacity. My RK is rank 8, almost rank 9 but because I got those ranks before Audacity hit, when I recently come back to lotro I found I just couldn't compete anymore even though I spent all that time in the past getting my ranks. I must admit, rightly or wrongly this has put me off PvMP a bit.

Overall these changes look good and will certainly give the moors a kick in the ass which it needs. Sadly little accomedation has been made for the new toon as you point out. Imagine a new creep rolls into the moors and stumbles on a group of freeps and he has 1 audacity vs their 14? They lowered the costs for skills, thats huge and overall this will help new creep players. Still the amount of commies they can get via PvE is lower now (no more commies for flips) so he's going to have to earn it through fighting freeps, good luck with that with no audacity.
I do feel its to little to late, for me personally Ive deleted all but 2 of my creeps anyway and my VIP expires in a few weeks that wont be renewed. I'll pay the TP to keep the 2 creeps in there though.

Well, sod that. PvP was the only reason I was thinking of going back to LotRO. With the new audacity grind, pretty much no additions to PvP and the incentive to only fight when you hold all keeps and outposts (meaning blue map, creeps log off/red map, freeps log off and then the keeps get ninja'd while people are sleeping), they're just making it worse.
It's a skill of Turbine's to always make things worse, no matter how 'hard' they try to make things better.

Hummm.
Not that I'm likely to go back to the 'moors anyway.

that and good luck if you solo. Ive played on several servers, its not uncommon (no its a regular occurance actually) that the map is completely one color. So you log on to your freep maybe looking for some 1v1 or camp a rez see if you can grab someone coming out of the rez, or maybe go to Grothum....
You'll get to go up against this:
Quote
Each outpost your side controls provide everyone on your side an Ettenmoors wide, stacking Physical/Tactical Mastery buff (~10% boost per outpost).
Quote
Each Keep your side controls provides everyone on your side an Ettenmoors wide, stacking, Infamy/Commendation earn buff (+20% boost per Keep).
So the map is red, so whats the incentive to flip it? To get that +20% bonus. All the while fighting creeps with +50% mits. Dosent look to appealing. Hello raid baby!
oh and woe unto you if you took a month off to play GW2 or decided to roll a freaver. Because it still costs you 6k commies to get one rank, the pve you could do before that got you some commies (flipping a keep) no longer gives them so you'll have to kill the other side. Good luck with that rolling R1 aud and that champ has his new 85LI and 12 aud....
You are going to have to raid up, or do some serious gold tagging. Eitherway you'll be the first to die if you havent grinded commies for audacity (which is now harder to do if you dont raid). And in the end the %chance to crit hasnt been fixed, damage spikes that result from them unbalance the moors it has since ROI.
Lots of cosmetic changes (someone played in the gw2 beta) but those changes pretty much pigeon hole you into a raid. Embrace the zerg, RoR is coming...
