It's against Turbine's ToS to sell that. If they find out who you are they will perma-ban your account and you won't even be able to give it away for free...
Turbine might be the one to send you an offer and you wouldn't even know it, they do read these forums. I'd edit your post...

I find that, where Turbine is concerned, optimism is a mayfly that lasts two seconds in the face of the blowtorch of experience.

With all due respect that's not applicable, this has nothing to to with the EU software decision. The LOTRO software is free.
The Rohan Code contains an in-game mount and as is clearly specified in the Terms of Service you cannot sell in-game items for cash. He's not selling software he's selling in-game items. I am reasonably certain that Turbine could justify a ban first and sort it out later approach to this.
Be that as it may, does the LOTRO Community really want to go here?

You may not purchase, sell or trade any Account, in-game items, Turbine Points or in-game currency for anything of value in the real world without Turbine's express written permission, and any attempt to do so without Turbine's prior written consent shall be null and void. Its not an account, its a code.
Its not an ingame item.
Its not TP....yet, technically or otherwise.
Its not in game currency.
It MAY be something of value, but he got it free. If he bartered it for services would that be ok?
And as for the issue of its something he got free and not being used as the manufacturer intended...once a gift is given the giver relinquishes control, unless its expressly written that its to be used by the recipient. If I was given Super Bowl tickets, but decided to sell them, would I be breaking the law? Would it be illegal? If so, there's whole lot of thieves running around.
No, I don't want this here, but I will play devil's advocate while droning through a Friday in anticipation of GW2.

Look I'm not going to argue the point for the sake of argument. Unless the Moderator was told something by Turbine directly (which would be useful to know) this appears to be a clear violation of Turbine's ToS...

Firstly its a CD key that anyone attending this event was given. All codes are unique. So therefore, its not a cheap nock off its a legit code for the game. Did you see the link posted or are you blind?
"The Rohan Code contains an in-game mount and as is clearly specified in the Terms of Service you cannot sell in-game items for cash. He's not selling software he's selling in-game items. I am reasonably certain that Turbine could justify a ban first and sort it out later approach to this."
Secondly, i am selling the software and not any items. If the code i am giving for the SOFTWARE comes with an ingame item that is not me personally selling that. I am selling the code, what that comes with is nothing. If that was the case and what you said was true, anyone that sales this expansion is also going against the ToS. I would really advise that you try not to think to hard as you are clearly stupid.
Thirdly, what i am doing is effectively selling the game, just like if i went to the shop.. brought riders of rohan. Realised i didnt want it, left it unopened and then sold it. I came to this forum because i thought a LOTRO fan would want this expansion cheap or for free. Clearly not.
