Fear not!

I have plans for Wardens too. There is not a lot of information that I can put out now, but the main issues that I can see with Wardens are as follows:

(Spear) DPS: There is an optimal gambit. One. There needs to be other options for dealing damage.

(Taunt) Tank: Tank training wheels. Most everything deals with drawing aggro. Morale taps will likely get adjusted to allow for raid tanking. (This gambit line is one that I am going to keep looking at because, in the distant future, it might warrant an overhaul.)

(Shield) Tank: Preferred tanking, very solid line, good skills...minor changes here.

Things that are on the table:

Allowing the reduction in power for gambits to also apply to the masteries.
Making Determination more attractive by adding some power regen and increases crit chance reduction
Addition of effects that will allow for some Gambits to replace themselves when they are used (ex. Completing a Power Attack while under this effect would immediately fill the gambit bar with Spear, Shield, Taunt) All Gambit lines would benefit from this, the different stances would determine which gambit is altered.
Enhancements to some of the Way of the Spear Traits/Trait Set bonuses
Enhancements to some of the Way of the Shield Traits/Trait Set bonuses
Enhancements to some of the Way of the Fist Traits/Trait Set bonuses

One thing that I will be up front about is Masteries. They are not likely to be turned into skills at any time soon.

Pity the Masteries will stay traits. I've always found them to be a stone around our necks, though recently I've dropped Spear Mastery.

I wield the Banhammer.
Fear me, but only if you feel you deserve a ban.

Orions latest info regarding gambits

37 and that number will likely go up to 40.

WHY!?

Well, you do need an aggro dump and something of a snap aggro and maybe some tactical defense with a chance for some stun/daze immunity.

Remember! Everything can change.

Ooh interesting. I look forward to that, stuns are a pigging nuisance so to have our own stun immunity would be ace :D Now all I need is a power return thatdoesn't involve me being below half health and voila, perfect :P

Another nail to the coffin of Guards. It's Moria all over again but worse :(

Ofcourse Warden and Runekeepers are premium classes so they need to be OP to the max and able to fulfill ALL roles... /fail.

Andahlia (65BRG) - Annare (65MNS) - Grimdhaz (46RNK) - Grimdoin (65GDN)
Grimdoir (65CHM) - Tommelhood (65HNT) - Willegart (28WDN)

yeah because guardians are in such a bad place arnt they?

you either deliberatly over dramatise or you dont have a clue what the balance is like between warden/guardian.

Back to the changes i like the sound of a snap aggro gambit and the detaunt, might mean we can actually juggle aggro without relying on the guardian to do it for us! also would love stun immunity for when soloing stuff.

Excuse me for disliking dual role classes. And yes I was dramatising as I am used to raiding together with a leather boy ;)

Guardians currently are not in a bad shape at all, but I too well remember the post-Moria days. The proposed changes to Champs and Warden are pointing in a certain direction; I guess we will have to wait and see the ideas and thoughts on Guardians as well :)

if you dislike dual role classes so much, you shouldn't like what they made with the old standard classes then, even your seemly beloved guardian.

except for the 1 trick pony hunter, all classes can fulfill more than one role now.

Never Surrender
The skill that everyone loves to malign is likely to be changed as follows. Activating the skill lasts for 5 minutes. During that time the warden cannot be defeated. If the warden falls below 5% health, the invincible effect is removed and the warden is healed for 75% of their morale and 50% of their power. For the next 5 minutes HoT pulses are negated and masteries cannot be used. There will be a 20 minute cooldown on the Never Surrender skill.

As a warden I love these changes but I can see why Guards aren't happy.

Only have the warden for about 2 months, but already 65 and nearing raid-ready. So I've been reading a lot on the codies forums about the class and am intruiged by the new proposals of Orion on US forums (main reason why I am lurking US forums atm).

Not too sure I like all the ideas, but some changes are more than welcome. Noted; We are a good tank at the moment, but we really like an aggro dump/capture. Sometimes I wish we had that champ skill (ire dump/get thingy?). Guard<>warden duo is fine, but warden+warden is nearing the impossible.
