    Be Virtuous!

If you still play then knock out those unfinished virtue deeds. Cord has used the term "Ahead of Parity" with the conversion of old virtues into the new system. Really skewed would be my translation. Getting a little over twice the rank that the new system costs would indicate, rank 55+/60 instead of rank 26/60 for a completionist . If you do want to level Wit, then maybe save a few deeds off from completing but you're not getting the same return once U24 goes live. Earning at endgame with dailies looks ok if your have taken advantage of these inflated ranks. Levelling a new toon with few virtues and only access to festivals for extra VXP doesn't look so great, as your earning potential will have halved from the old deeds, they would have to earn 2000 VXP to be fair. But buy a Valar item at 49, 94 and 104 though and you'll get a deluge of VXP to max out several virtues. The economics is just plain weird, not going to allow virtue purchases in the store. Yet giving VXP hand over fist to a valared char. Mac PS Solvents on sale this week. I got one to drop this week too, first in several weeks of soloing.

15 minute mark? I'll take you word on it. I'm not giving this future Schlup any hits on his content.

    Oops

Not wanting to talk numbers! Good grief. I looked at the notes he did after this. Valared chars getting a shit ton of free VXP. So someone who levels up playing the damn game can never earn as much as a valared character. Economically this VXP from Valaring up is like a fire sale. It would make them a ton of cash selling virtues to whales if they were bothered. Yet they not going to make it a store option, just a huge game grind. Run the numbers internally, Hah. They've have created a huge whole in virtue earning potential of what's in game now and only providing a future grind to make up for it. . 16 new one time deeds giving 2000 VXP and a meta meta with 4000VPX. 6000 VXP a week from Endgame dailies. Festival 5000 VXP per. FI CM a bit. Now that's a healthy return for endgame dailies, a year of it will net me 312,000 VXP. 12 years of virtue grind got me only 500,000. But I didn't have to do it every single bloody day. Rank 55 to 59 requires about (or it will be 19001) 19000 VXP to level, a jump from 1500 at 54. At cap (increasing) 60 to 65 2000 VXP to level. Ahead of parity he says like that's good. It's hugely skewed nor just ahead of parity the new costs make it impossible to turn 580 virtue deeds into ranks of 55+, it would be high rank 20s. Hmm 580000 / 20 = 29000 so rank 26 and 2/3rds for your completionists if getting a true reflection of the new system earning potential before the new grind starts. Worse still for someone with a shit load of deeds not yet completed on live who with a the U24 patch loose out on half the earning they get the day before release. It's no longer 75,000 VXP to rank 60 it now 95,000 VXP so a cool million to max all 21. Mac At least he's actually read his skill tooltip sometime this week.

During his live stream today, Cord slipped and called the new virtue system a grind. At about the 15 minute mark.

The Search of Gársig's Farm (Wildermore, Rohan)

I've been working on deeds on my bear on Anor. I figure I need to max out what I can now before it becomes unwieldy.

The Search of Gársig's Farm (Wildermore, Rohan)

With this virtue debacle I figured I'd get some old virtue deeds finished off and just discovered one of my mains never took a step into Wildermore. Not looking forward to being alone in the woods out there.

Wildermore was always a very buggy area, very laggy too. I remember the frustration of trying to do mounted combat and getting hurled off the side of cliffs. Fun times.

Ahhh - glad to hear that worked out - I hate getting stuck on land scape quests

Yet no level of garbagery could prepare us for the level of utter incompetence and flippancy demonstrated in the final one. In a world where competence and work ethics mattered a bit, those two would be blacklisted for life, while in ours they already landed their next biggie...

Thank you for all your help. I think the problem was that I ran away from the warg-riders too early. I cancelled the quest and then re-accepted it. The second time round, I fought the riders for longer and killed one of them, and the quest automatically advanced.

yeah because she hopped on a pale horse as the bringer of death... or something. >.> or was it a white horse... so judgement?! just another flimsy excuse to appear deep, but end up looking like a shallow end of the pool wader. i did not say it was good. i said it made me happy that someone finally killed that... whilst in keeping with a total Mary Sue, couldn't have Arya kill a sister either... Jon had to finally play some part, as he was inept in dealing with the Wight King. also providing some ridiculous excuse to ship him off North, so he could finally pet Ghost. Danny making all the way to the end, only to look like a complete & utter fanatic: Tyrion could have pushed her down the stairs and broke her neck for all it mattered: the soul crushing effect of all those who hung on her as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms was the only salt i was after. show has been utter garbage for at least 3 seasons now.

Not enough expletives. My comments would have more "fucks" "cunts" dicks" than normal words.

That scene was appalling. I said as a joke "and now he stabs her" and my partner was midway through saying "yeah, that would be pretty obvious" when he actually fucking stabbed her. Then the dragon melts the fucking throne, a throne made with fucking dragon fire before without melting it completely (which seems to do whatever's needed, like it used to just melt stone like at Harrenhal, now it explodes stone like TNT). Really? The dragon got the symbolism of the Iron Throne did it? Or did it think "oh no, mummy been stabbed, must be stabby chair"? Their desire to rush to the end left them with nothing but hack moments. I mean, come the fuck on, why is Branston pickle now the king? He made it clear he wasn't a lord or any of that shit any more and was well above it, suddenly he's like "yeah, let's king this bitch up". He's pretty much come out of nowhere to all the other lords and either they didn't tell anyone else he was magic until then or they all just accepted it really easy. Gendry had the strongest claim after Jon, considering he was a legitimised bastard Baratheon, and even he would've made a better choice than Richard Branson (still a bad choice, but you work with the shit you shit up). Arya's magically an explorer now? Made more sense in the books, they set up that sort of a person, but for the TV show she didn't really have any of that. She fucked off to Braavos after her dad popped his clogs, trained to be an assassin, became an assassin, used her power once, did some zombie killing, then got scared of zombies, teleported behind the Night's King, and never did any ninja stuff again. Cool, it's all over, I'mma fuck off in a boat to the west to see what's going on in Americaros. I've got to stop now before I start getting more annoyed. I could re-write that whole fucking season to make more sense, and I think that's what annoys me the most; if an amateur could do it, why the hell are those couple of fags getting paid hundreds of thousands to do a hack job?

“Sunset found her squatting in the grass, groaning. Every stool was looser than the one before, and smelled fouler. By the time the moon came up, she was shitting brown water. The more she drank the more she shat, but the more she shat, the thirstier she grew.” ― George R.R. Martin you may find THIS useful...

The Search of Gársig's Farm (Wildermore, Rohan)

I just looked at the Wiki description and I remember having a hard time triggering that one on one my toons - I think I wandered back and forth around the injured Manléof's and had to fight off some spawns before triggering the next step - but its been a while since I was in Wildermore P.S. I'm pretty sure I did the logout thing as well, and killing something nearby as well - something triggered it though is all I remember - lol

Sometimes killing an enemy nearby triggers the quest item.

The Search of Gársig's Farm (Wildermore, Rohan)

When I had trouble like this with quest items that didn't respond, I generally logged off while next to the quest objective and restarted the game. It seems like sometimes things didn't load completely and got stuck, especially when I was playing for a long time, and restarting cleared that up. That's the only thing I have for you to try, unfortunately.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I did look in the wiki, but it said nothing about this problem.

I don;t remember that quest specifically - but I remember being confused by some of the Wildemore quests - the directions were not clear - did you try looking in the LOTRO Wiki with the exact quest name ?
  23. I do not understand how this quest is supposed to work. What exactly are you supposed to do when it says "Check on Manléof's injuries?" I have tried clicking on the body, but nothing happens.

Yeah, I'm going to have to pirate episode 6, as I really didn't have the time to watch it yesterday... before the Amazon HBO sub expired. It was a good ride for most of the series, the last season just sorta sucked as the last two episodes essentially destroyed most of the character development that had occurred over the course of the series.

UK Perspective on UK Contempt of Court

Having lived in Seattle, I can tell you that the homeless problem is more of a homeless drug addict problem. I wouldn't be surprised if the weapon issues are (yet another) example of leftist idiots not calling a spade a spade.

    Be Virtuous!

kind of like back when Meghan Jenks/Rodberg said (at the time she may have even believed it to be the truth) tomes & certain items would never be in the store... it is a slow pulling back of the wool. it took the drastic changes of Helms Deep for that bucket of ice effect to rattle enough cages. this new virtue (yet another) grind system apparently it is still incomplete.... yeah right! the time on the wool pullback here is going to be much faster. most of those (...still) here since the FTP transition are wise to it, but some folk will still be in for a shock. regardless, i think this will have a similar proportional detrimental effect on the player-base. the percentage drops in numbers pre & post HD, should be similar to these new realities. and i find myself in a similar position to the conclusion of GoT... oddly enjoying watching the nails being driven in. walk to where though? isn't the bulk of the current employed central & key usefulness, their knowledge of the patchwork state of an 2+ decades old game engine and client? the 2 games (Lotro & DDO) could not really be transferred to any other set of (studio) employees because of the legacy code in play. to shake off that relic status and actually be useful in a modern setting? like resurrecting a fossil. if they were capable of walking, it would have happened already. not really knuckling down as much as swallowing the bullet when the alternatives may look something like:

the only part i cared about was when Jon drove the dagger in. it made me smile. the rest was just a fart sniffing art piece by George Lucas Jr. & someone from the Mark Zuckerberg Dysgenics Program. both are just as overrated as George RR Martin. that said, i am oddly enjoying that is was as poorly received as it was. the salt bath also has me grinning. ;)
