I don't want to go digging for this list, but CNN is more interested in pedaling propaganda than news, so CNN getting the boot shouldn't be a shocker to anyone.

BBC getting uninvited shouldn't come as a surprise because... well... it's the British Broadcasting Corporation.  So unless there's another international news organization in the room, that falls in line with America First.  That one I scratch my head on, but then again, I do see the logic there.

The others are so far to the left that they tend to print first and verify later, often printing articles so erroneous bad about conservatives or so falsely glowingly positive about liberals that it's quite arguable that they're really propaganda sites, and not news agencies.

And if you're going to call BuzzFeed and Politico news sites, then I've got a bridge near TA to sell you....

Because Fox News and Breitbart are the paragons of honest media

Hell even Bret Baier of Fox News complained about this

  2. With regards to the transgender bathroom issue, it seems the Betsy DeVos was against the change, but Trump sided with the Attorney General, Jeff Sessions who is against expanding rights to the LGBT community, and faced with either disagreeing with Trump or resigning she chose to back the change.

Is this what we can expect from the Trump team, absolutely no backbone.

Exactly. And why should one nation be entrusted with threatening the entire world into nuclear submission with enough nukes to destroy the planet ten times over? Especially when that same country is the only fucking one to have actually used nukes on another nation.

And is actively trying to stop other countries have nukes

    fucking hell.

Another depressing fact, my year of birth (1980) is closer to WW2 than we are now to 1980.

Also being from 1980 you have just made me feel old.  I havent felt this old since 2015 when Back to the Future was 30 years old and we were in the time of Back to the Future 2

First Flynn and now Milo has been taken down... permanently?

Is Milo a pedophile? Or was this another Bowling Green misspeak / humour  hyped beyond Leslie Jones' wildest dreams or acting abilities?

I am anti-homosexual but I did love it when Milo would make snowflakes melt in the heat of thermonuclear rationality.

    Can Milo play piano?

Edit: I should add reference: http://news.nationalpost.com/news/world/milo-yiannopoulos-resigns-from-breitbart

I said it was wrong when people got the Milo talk cancelled because the best way to deal with people like him is to let them talk as they will eventually make an ass of themselves.

Also what did the homosexuals ever do to you

Actually, is pretty common knowledge in the States that the Clintons are about as crooked as they get.  So when Trump said that in a campaign, that's like saying "If I were in charge, the mafia would all be in jail".

Maybe you should do less bitching, and more learning, about my country?  After all, the US does culturally rule the world, so bow to your overlords pleb.

So no due process because people know she is corrupt, I dont remember that part in the constitution, can you point out that bit for me.

do you not give a single crap about due process?

the accusation is sufficient.  pathetic.  pray you are never accused of rape & the accusation alone ruins you.

    honestly mate, raise your standards!

Calm the fuck down I was making a joke.  Also he did leak thousands of illegally obtained documents and admits to doing so.

Also your beloved Trump complained that suspected bomber Ahmad Rahami would get medical treatment and a lawyer as per his constitutional rights.  He also said if here were in charge of the law that Clinton would be in jail.  He said all throughout the campaign than Clinton was guilty.  So your belvoed Trump doesnt believe in due process

Parody isn't a copyright violation, it's when you post disney videos on YouTube that are clips (of full out movies).  There's a system to remove those from YouTube, so they vanish without anyone noticing.  Case in point.

However, that system is so freaking loose that it's been used to censor people that are perfectly within fair use, to the point that a channel can be deleted for simply posting a 5 second clip as part of a review for a film.

Even posting clips is allowed under fair use laws as long as you have a reason for posting the clips and not just because you want to post them.  If they left people just post clips for no reason, what is to stop someone just posting a whole film in 5 minutes clips.  I have seen this done with TV shows.

As for having your account deleted, this does not happen often and when your video gets flag you can appeal under fair use.  Also my companies allow you to keep your video up in exchange for a share of your ad revenue, this is what Nintendo does at least for some of their content

I have no idea why he needs to keep making shit up when there are actual examples available. There's rape, child molestation, and terror attacks all up for grabs to back himself up, but him and his team feel the need to imagine fake ones. It doesn't make much sense, unless his goal is to further obscure the threat that the refugee crisis can have on a nation.

It could also be part of his narrative that the press are not telling you everything and in some cases are actively covering things up

  10. What the hell was Trump on about last night, what happened in Sweden.  In his speech about refugees he said something happen last night in Sweden.  Yet more fake stories from Trump about refugees.  He goes on about the media and fake news, yet he and his team are often the ones spouting fake news.

    That's half of it.

The other half is that the establishment HATES the internet.  LIke full on "we want to have it our way or destroy it" hate it, because all of the legal infrastructure they've built up to protect their IPs are largely meaningless on the Internet, and we produce our own content without really needing them.

So as much as I really dislike Pewdiepie, he's actually the victim here.

I doubt Disney hates YouTube, the own one of the biggest and represents some of the biggest names on YouTube.  The bought Maker Studios back in 2015 for $500 million rising to $960 million if certain financial targets were met

how old is the audience for Wreck it Ralph 2?

The people it is aimed for are less likely to know how Sarah Silverman is, and since you dont see her face, they are not likely to come across her content there for Disney may just feel she is less of an issue.

I would say they are being hypocritical but that is just how companies work.

  12. 15 hours ago, LasraelLarson said:

indeed.  so if i follow that logic, is the voice of Venellope Von Schweetz up for a recasting due to Sarah Silvermans straying into controversial comedy territory?

Sarah Silverman was always controversial, long before she got the acting roles that she did.  They hired her knowing full well who she was and what she does.

The difference here is most likely her audience is a lot older he Pewdiepies audience, the majority of his audience is under 18, which is a large market for Disney

    - Michael Flynn resigned, not exactly the same thing as being fired.  it is actually an important distinction.  Flynn may be back.  i can't predict Trump here, but i don't think Flynn is actually gone, merely not in front of the scenes. he may be back, he may continue to operate outside of an official tittle.

Depends of what he actually discussed.  Potentially what he did was illegal and he could face prosecution.

What we do know is the sanctions are holding up a $500 billion oil deal that Exxon has with Russia, given who is the secretary of state, it would be a massive shock it that deal was not discussed in relation to the sanctions.

Felix will likely be fine, his audience is indeed huge.  the other 100 or so employees working on his canceled show however...

Given that YouTube Red is making shows with many creators, the will use the money they would have spent on another show, and these people with help make that show.  In fact they could make the same show and just swap Pewdiepie for someone else, like Markiplier or Jacksepticeye

  15. In the last 30 days he has gained just over 800000 new subs.  Almost 170000 of that is the last 2 days.

As for Disney and YouTube Red dropping him, they are just reacting to the press and ensuring they dont get caught up in all the crap.

Also I am sure the are other YouTube Networks that will be happy to sign him up and take a cut of his earnings.  It is estimated he earned $15 million for Youtbe last year.

    Well yeah...

"Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun." - Mao Zedong

That's the entire point of gun control laws, to disempower a segment of the population so that the government is more powerful - when it really should be the average citizen that holds the power, NOT some parasitic entity.

That and gun control laws empower those that ignore the laws...

Guns would work really well against the drones that the government has and uses.

Are they minor functionaries of the GOP? If they are, post it. IMO, the GOP would want to root them out. The Dems, I'm not so sure...

But, yeah - not freaking out and letting the crazies suffocate is a good strategy. Or calmly discussing the issue can work sometimes.

Pretty sure the Tea Party are a bunch of crazy nut jobs, I wonder how many minor functionaries of the GOP are part of that movement
