  1. Better late than never I guess http://www.lotro.com/gameinfo/devdiaries/1464-rise-of-isengard-developer-diary-dunland-region-overview
  2. There was a post yesterday saying that they were seeing lots of gold spammers trying to access the forum and they had been stopping them, hence the extra high traffic to the forum. Makes sense with the release of ROI
  3. The VIP priority is only for the login server not the patching server so it would not apply here. Every time you login the first check made by the launcher is to the patching server and that is why people could not login even after they had patched up
  4. It seems that some of the lua add-ons can cause problems. I was running Buffbars. Also heard that Palantir and others can have an issue. This was picked up in beta but has not been fixed
  5. I got in had been playing for a little bit, then the client stopped working and now I cant get back in
  6. I have patched up but cant login, I am stuck trying to connect. It seems that you have to check the patch server before each login and since everyone is doing this it is taking ages for people to get patched then even longer to log in and it will only get worse in the next few hours as the US players get home from school/work
  7. Fully patched now Was quick once I got in
  8. Now the forum is down for maintenance edit: now is back online
  9. Here is the known issue for ROI http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?&postid=5709511#post5709511
  10. Apparently if you leave it for to long at examining game data it will hang and stop working http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?421499-Servers-are-Up-O.o&p=5709404#post5709404 However I just rebooted the launcher and now I cant even connect, so the choice is yours
  11. Just incase you had not noticed, you can start patching just now. No idea as to how big the file is or when the servers will be available, but at least you can get going
  12. Welcome. Please be kind
  13. It is time companies stopped using hamsters and get some of these guys
  14. It can happen if there is a big demand else where on the server, most likely in Ettens which can kill the server. This is something that happens every time Honvik has one of his events
  15. A week or so ago I go the icon telling you that server performance had been reduced. No idea why, but not likely to get this when the server is dead. It is the first time in a while I have seen this.
  16. These clauses are basically the same as the management has the right to refuse service to anyone for no reason at all. The best you could get is a refund on any points you bought and ant VIP time you still had left and even then that is at a push. Also it may be possible to prove that you didnt do this. If they did use you IP address to prove that it was your normal gaming location and you can prove that you were not at the location when the posts were made, ie you have your holiday tickets or perhaps you used a credit card or ATM on the same day as the post, this would prove you were n
  17. Turbine dont have to prove anything. From the terms of service http://www.lotro.com/support/tos From the EULA http://www.lotro.com/support/tos/218-eula Basically they can cancel any account any time they want for no reason at all
  18. Ever wondered how to build a dragon, no me neither, but in case you have here you go http://www.lotro.com/gameinfo/devdiaries/1451-rise-of-isengard-developer-diary-how-to-build-your-dragon
  19. Was the instance that you could not get into Hall of Nights, if so that has never been part on a quest pack, neither is Inn of the Forsaken All other instances are included in quests packs
  20. I think is something far more simple. When Turbine was planning to launch the game they didnt have the funds to launch it in the EU, but they know that they needed to capitalise on the EU market so getting another company to take the risk with them made sense. Now this meant that Turbine had to share the money from sales and subs with CM but that was fine as it was still more than not releasing it in the EU. Now they knew from the results of DDO going F2P that there is more money to be made and they didnt want to share it with anyone so they took control of the EU player base
  21. The division the dealt with LOTRO was most likely smaller than Turbine, dont forget CM do a lot of other games as well.
  22. Something for the crafters http://www.lotro.com/gameinfo/devdiaries/1442-rise-of-isengard-developer-diary-crafting-in-the-westfold
  23. It looks like the servers will be patched on Monday and anyone that has pre-ordered it can play as soon as they have patched up, but it wont appear in the store till Tuesday. At least that is how I see it
  24. Sapience just confirmed when the servers come up ROI will be live http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?420683-can-we-have-the-schedule-for-tuesdays-launch-plz-turbine.&p=5700863#post5700863
