  1. Hackers are to blame. No matter how much security a company has in place in is not safe from hackers. Also if there were no hackers all data could be held in plain text without any worry as no one would be trying to get a hold of it
  2. There is no justification for what these hackers are doing. The claim that they are trying to show up the lack of security at these companies is just plain stupid, they are criminals and I hope they get what is coming to them
  3. Yet another games company hacked, this time it is Sega, although Lulz security say it wasnt them http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-13815225
  4. It will be like Crash Override V Acid Burn but not in a good way

  7. Here is the last blog before the first stage of testing http://my.lotro.com/user-55/2011/06/15/minstrel-update-first-finale/
  8. At the moment they are doing it because they can and for the fun of it. The problem will come if someone with the group decides to take advantage of the situation for their own purposes, eg they are having some financial problems and they use a few CC details to get by
  9. Add Escapist Magazine and Eve to the list of recents hacks http://www.neowin.net/news/lulzsec-hacks-escapist-magazine-and-eve-online This is all getting beyond a joke now edit: it appears Minecraft is also down
  10. Was just thing that they could redo heralds altogether and change how the work. You could have the archer for DPS, one that works a bit like the herbalist but not as strong for self heals, and one that buffs your stats. As well as the main role of each herald, they could also give buffs to ICMR and ICPR with these buffs being group wide
  11. I have more of an issue with the fact they are using different exchange rates in different places. For RoI the exchange rate is £1=$1.33 For the 12 month sub offer it is £1=$1.25 For the world transfer is is £1=$1.31 If they could just pick one and stick with it
  12. 5-7 days is the expected turnaround for support tickets and giving the number of people that will be raising them it might be even longer
  13. Looks as if the IMF has also been hacked. I would guess there will be a lot more companies announcing attacks over the coming weeks http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-13740591
  14. I got that a while back for registering on a gaming website, it was for the first 1000 people. It looks good on my Captain
  15. Here are the release notes of patch 1 http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?&postid=5454227#post5454227
  16. There was no reference in the patch notes since it only came to light after the patch was released as it was the patch that broke it
  17. Account Management Phone Support: (781) 407-4020, but it is not going to be cheap to phone the US for any length of time
  18. Thankfully help is at hand thanks to Victorie http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?&postid=5442659#post5442659 And if that is of no use then your best bet is to raise a ticket with account management here http://support.turbine.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=24001
  19. Some info in this thread on the US forum http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?400450-New-E3-LOTRO-information
  20. Some raid footage from SWTOR http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/06/08/e3-2011-bioware-shows-off-the-old-republic-belsavis-raid/
  21. I had ordered the White outfit but instead got the green one, now Turbine has fixed this but the character I logged in on that got the green stuff has also been giving the white stuff including the mount. So 1 character go 2 sets of outfits and 2 mounts but just 1 cloak and the others just got 1 of everything
  22. It could have been worse, they could just have use England
  23. My pet hate is companies that release software in beta and then leave it in beta for years, in some cases wit hno real intention of removing it from beta. It to 2 years to take Farmville out of beta that is just taking the piss out of people
