1. This website is great, considering we will no longer have a EU Forum But it's great to discuss ideas with some old friends.
 2. Hi, Since The Official LOTRO Europe Forums are becoming obsolete in a month, I have decided to move this guide here. It has since I posted it (15-09-2009, 01:56 PM), helped many people. If you feel that this guide has become outdated please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks ORIGINAL POST: http://community.codemasters.com/forum/technical-assistance-forum-737/379486-net-framework-fix-vista-win-7-a.html (Might not work after JUNE) ----- See Batch File Method in 4th Post: Hi, This will be my first self-experienced tutorial. I had this problem and found the solution. Now, because this solution is very hard to find, I am posting it here to make it easier for you Let's start: Are you angry, frustrated or even crying over your PC because you can't play Lotro . Is the problem the horrible .NET Framework ? Then Do not fear dear: Hobbit, Human, dwarf and Elf ... the solution is at hand. In a few minutes, you will master 3 simple commands, that will change your present life. Step1: Create a folder named: DotNet in C:\ [Now you have C:\DotNet Step 2: Download .NET Framework Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable Package Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 Make sure that the Redistributable Package's name is: dotnetfx.exe Rename the Service Pack 1 (Second download to: dotnetfxsp1.exe) Step 3: Open Command Prompt as Admin Step4: The Commands First write cd C:\DotNet (To change the Location) 1). dotnetfx.exe /c:"msiexec.exe /a netfx.msi TARGETDIR=C:\DotNet" Follow steps and It should say complete 2). dotnetfxsp1.exe /Xp:C:\DotNet\netfxsp.msp
No message pops up 3).
msiexec.exe /a c:\DotNet\netfx.msi /p c:\DotNet\netfxsp.msp
Wait for Windows Installer for Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 to finish and disappear automatically. Step5: Install Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 with slipstreamed/integrated Service Pack 1 by running netfx.msi created in the working folder. Hope this is of Help.
