And my all time favorite album, every young man should listen to the album and watch the movie. It explains so much about teen angst.

I know he's really tall and skinny, but this is my hobbit tribute! LOL B)

I had the good fortune to see Tull and Santana at a concert together in Athens, Greece back in '92 (I lived there for about 7 years, long story) but I had never really cared too much about him before then. I went for Santana, my boyfriend for Tull. In the end, we both came home and exchanged music since he liked Santana more and I like Tull more after the experience, hehe.

The amazing thing about Tull, he's like a crazy person on stage the *entire time* hehe. So much energy, engaging with every person in the band, the audience, all the different instruments, etc. Had no clue before that how talented he is.

I can never work out if Jethro was being deliberately comical or whether he was just very eccentric / half mad. Either way, he's highly entertaining as a front man, one of a kind for sure.

Hehe. My experience of him there over the course of 3 hrs, was that it's probably a little of both: he is often comical *because* he is very eccentric, lol. He would chat up people in the audience in really funny ways, then get back to what he was doing. His chemistry with Santana, once they were onstage together, was also really funny. Santana would sometimes look at him like: 'what the FUCK!" with these really big eyes, then get to giggling, lol.

I went to a Poison reunion tour about 10 years ago that also featured Ratt, Cinderella, and one or two other bands whose names escape me (hey, the ticket was cheap; don't judge me).

The lead singer of Cinderella played seven or eight different instruments during the show, which amazed me. I had no idea that the dude could do that - he was good on all of them, too.

That said, I would've rather seen Jethro Tull in his heyday. :)

He's also quite an aficionado of classical music.

Have some of this:

New Dream Theater.

New album out soon. If they are all like this example, it's promising!

I used to love DT, but they've gotten rather... overwrought... in the last few albums. They are clearly talented musicians, but their songs used to be more approachable, now they are complicated as hell, and I tend to lose interest. Give me some Fates Warning instead, any day!

fail post is fail. :(

You don't need to embed it, I think.

I certainly just post the url from the "share it" tab usually.

D'oh... well, that serves me right for overcomplexifying. Thanks :)

Behold the majesty of the 1980s!
