The session-plays where you have god-like powers, but are still at risk of dying and have to put some effort into completing, can be a lot of fun.

The first set of session plays, which were (I think) Book 15 (the end of the SoA epic, in Eregion), were not bad - the final one was somewhat challenging to survive, at least when first released (I imagine it has since been nerfed since a lot of people complained about not being able to do it effortlessly...).

The death of Boromir one in RoR had potential, but was a bit too easy. The one with Frodo was horrible, though (and the lack of voice-over inexcusable). The Wildermore ones, which I did during HD Beta, were also horrible.

The Moria ones were kind of ruined for me by being forced to play a fat, stinky Dorf. Now if they had let us session play as the *Balrog*, slaughtering Dorfs by the thousands, *that* would have been freaking EPIC.

The death of Borromir (In all its personas ) were the scene I most-disliked. Sure, it was good story, I just was very very good at finding new ways to accidentally breaking it. I probably filed more bug reports on that scene (all versions) than any other instance in ROR, and I still managed to find a new way to break it on live!

The only one worse is 'We cannot get out' which is almost equally prone to breakage.

indeed, not all session plays are equal.

Frodo escort in Rivendell...  yeah, that one was awful.

Tedious, but you can /afk /follow and go make lunch. Walk and talks like that should be skip able. Maybe one day!

i've tried to /follow Frodo.

it did not work.

Did you type /follow Frodo? if so, that wont work. You can't specify a target that way. You have to select Frodo (with your mouse or whatever) and then type /follow

yep, done.  didn't work.  was very annoying.

Weird. It worked the last time I went through it. Which was right before I took my most recent character into Moria, shortly prior to HD. I've done it that way on 4 of 5 characters that have done the quest.

i haven't done it in recent times...  last time was probably during RoIanyway, no worries, my alt days in LoTRO are done.  all have passed this milestone.

Speaking of U13...

Paraphrased between +xraina and Sap (offscreen): "TS and MM not as extensive as the ND revamp, but still on for U13 #lotro"

i just watched the twitch stream & heard Sap mention that Misties & Trollshaws were also included in U13, but nowhere near as extensive as North Downs...   well, duh, Orion hadn't started those two regions.  :P

still  might be for the best they aren't delaying to pad these out further, as it will likely just be a couple new travel routes & maybe switching the few remaining elites down to signatures & slap an update tag on it, it's done.

however, that doesn't leave much promise for a U14, or a U15, etc.
