Does Anyone Have the Tailor Recipe for Fine Quiver on Dwarrowdelf?

Recommended Posts

I have been looking desperately for the Fine Quiver cosmetic and can't seem to find anyone who has it or can make it (image of it is here: http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/File:Fine_Quiver_screenshot.jpg). It's a journeyman tailor recipe that was a drop from spring festival Green Gift Boxes a few years back, and according to the wiki, it is no longer available.

I have searched around on sites like cosmeticlotro, but all of the players I've seen with the Fine Quiver are on different servers. I play on the Dwarrowdelf server, so is there anyone that could make this quiver for me, or even someone who already has it and could just let me borrow it to put on my outfit? I could then send it right back to you. My main character is named Suruborn, so if you are able to mail it, that would be where.

Have you tried posting this on the Dwarrowdelf section of the official forums?  Here is the link to that section:

Someone there might be able to help you.  I don't have any characters on that server, and none of my tailors have this recipe in any case.  It's a nice-looking quiver, I can see why you'd want it.

My tailor has it. But my toons are on Landroval. And I had uninstalled LotRO some time ago and no longer remember my login info anyway. I'm guessing asking in the global chat for Dwarrowdelf hasn't gotten any leads, but if you try the ^OF and maybe pin down a decent-sized guild with active members, maybe someone has it... Good luck otherwise. I'm surprised this isn't in the store at this point, really.

Thanks for replying! Yeah, I really wanted to post it there - that's actually where I went first. However, for some reason unbeknownst to me, under posting permissions it says:

  • You may not post new threads
  • You may not post replies
  • You may not post attachments
  • You may not edit your posts

Kind of puts a damper on things :(

It seems like almost everyone is on Landroval xD I could probably find it more easily there. But yeah, I would like to try to find a good kin that might have it...maybe I can at least use the directory in the OF to find one, even if I can't post there?

If your forum account is new, I think they now have a time limit before the forum becomes fully accessible due to some spam attacks in 2013 when people were creating new accounts and linking pornography on the OF. I'm not entirely sure but I think it may be 3 months or something like that before you are considered able to post new topics. Kind of sucks for legitimate players like yourself.

Worse than that even, you can only post in the "newcommers" section and your posts are apparently monitored there until someone decides it's ok to cut you lose on the rest of the forums.  Some remnant of Sappo apparently....

Yes I'm logged in, my problem is the one listed below.

Have you tried asking in /world chat?

Yeah :( I've done that several times, but I feel bad bugging everyone about it all the time in the /world chat. Sometimes people don't like it. I did find someone who said they have one (supposedly), but they apparently have 20-something different accounts and they don't remember which character's inventory it's in.

Ya definitely sucks >.< What you said is pretty much what I gathered when searching about the problem online, but I just wanted to confirm. Sad day...

Yeah, some people ruin things for everyone :( That seems to be the way of it. It just reminds me of grade school...a couple of kids decide to play tackle football, then football gets banned from recess, lol

So basically there isn't much I can do to find the quiver I guess  :?

Not really no, just keep trying what you are doing and wait until your forum account becomes less restricted. It sucks, I know, but recipe's/item's like that are very rare these days. You may be lucky and find it as a buyable item on a festival this year but again you would have to wait until the festivals roll around.

You could join one of the larger kin's on Dwarrowdelf like the Council of the Elder Lords or the Lollipop Guild, which also split into another one called the Delinquents or something like that. I don't know if any of these kin's are still active but they used to be very big when I played on the server briefly.

The only other thing I could suggest is to go to Bree and look inside Lalia's market. It's by no means a guarantee, but they display some of the store purchasable cosmetics there so you may find a similar one there you could buy from the store for TP's.

Yeah, I guess that's the reality of it. But thanks for your sympathy, and those are some good suggestions! I appreciate you taking time out to help me. I check the auction house pretty regularly in the hopes that someone might post it there, too. I've pretty much scoured Lalia's market, but maybe by some lucky chance one of the special outfits that they rotate on the dummies will have one. And if I can get in touch with a large kin that might have one...that's actually the best idea, probably.

There are a few quivers that are similar, but not the same, one from the outfitter at Trestlebridge according to this guide:

http://lotro.northshield.co.uk/Outfitter/Quiver/Quiver.htm

Maybe with dye you can get it close enough to what you want until you find the exact one.  I think the one you're after is the nicest-looking one of the bunch, you have good taste!

Well since it appears to be a spring festival item, it would seem that if you are still playing you may have a shot at just getting one for yourself when it rolls around this year. :)

OP may be right (from his own research) that the recipe is no longer available, though. It's a shame, but pre-HD when populations were actually decent and the forums not horribly locked down, this would've been taken care of easily. Too bad you can't get free server transfers as in games like Rift, too, although it seems WB-Turbine is going to do some type of forced server merging (who knows when), so maybe stuff like this will be less problematic for new players.

Haha thanks, I'm glad you feel the same! :) But yeah, that Trestlebridge one...I've tried to dye it, but the lines on it all stay that yucky crimson color still. Well, they wouldn't be yucky if the outfit's color scheme matched them :P

If the lotro-wiki is to be trusted, then yeah, it's not available anymore at Spring Festival. But yeah, I have also heard about the server merging at some indeterminate date in the future - but it's supposed to preserve all your items and characters and stuff, I think.

Some cross server AH would help, I know I have this recipe but being on Snowbourn I can't help you, a cross server AH would help with this and many other economy issues a lot.

Yes!!! That is what I need - cross server AH! If only, if only. I'm glad that you at least have the recipe, though. I mean, I wish you were on my server, but the fact that you have it means there is at least some hope of finding someone on Dwarrowdelf who does :)

Well, no idea about what they're planning exactly for the server stuff, but if you end up getting a choice, you might consider going to Landroval, even if you don't RP. RPers in general are going to be much more interested in the cosmetics so there's a higher probability of finding various cosmetics/recipe-holders, and RPers are probably among the last groups more invested in LotRO at this point.

I hear you, most of the people I've seen online that have the quiver are on the Landroval server. But what exactly is a roleplaying server? I mean, does it have the same quests and stuff, or does everybody just do whatever?

The quests are all the same and there is no difference in content.  It just means that on that server, there are many players ready to "role play" as their hobbit, elf, dwarf, whathave you, and often will engage in their own kind of games. chat, and events to promote middle earth life as they interpet it.  There are several threads on official forums about roleplaying you can see.  There are also plenty of players on Landroval that don't engage in this either, but you will come across more there than on other servers.

What mtones says. You're not required to RP on Landroval because it's not enforced, but the only thing to remember is to just be polite. Try not to do regular chat in /say, stick with tells and the global/regional/local chat channels in particular. My game partner and I didn't RP on Landroval either, but those types of servers are generally better to find cosmetic-related stuff.

A shame that my kin didn't start on that server, then. :( Better chance at finding stuff. But the roleplaying sounds like it could be kind of fun, though.
