The MMO Troll

So I've been installing games on my new gaming laptop...

... and damn if I don't find myself wanting to play "World of Warcraft" again!

I know, I know... I have already sunk five years of my life into that game, so why would I want to do it again, especially when none of my friends are playing it, and I hate Raiding? Frankly, I can't tell you why I'm feeling the pull back to WoW, because I'm not feeling it with the other games I've been installing lately. I've got the following MMORPGs either already installed, or slated to be installed over the next couple of days:

  • Anarchy Online
  • Champions Online
  • Guild Wars 2
  • Lord of the Rings Online
  • Neverwinter
  • The Secret World
  • Star Citizen
  • Star Trek Online
  • Star Wars: The Old Republic
  • Wildstar
  • World of Warcraft

Most of these are just for nostalgia purposes, I only really planned on playing TSW seriously at all, but I'll be damned if I don't all of a sudden want to level up a brand new character in WoW. Two, actually, a Druid and a Deathknight, both Tauren. Yes, I have a thing for playing Tauren, always have. Anyway, the only one of these games I'd have to actually pay to play is WoW (past level 20), so it seems odd that this would be the game I most want to play.

So, what the hell is wrong with me? Thoughts?
