data is interesting:

4% (8 NA servers):

- Windfola

- Vilya

- Riddermark

- Nimrodel

- Imladris

- Firefoot

- Elendilmir

- Dwarrowdelf

5% (3 NA Servers):

- Silverlode

- Meneldor

- Arkenstone

7%:

- Crickhollow

8%:

- Landroval

15%:

- Brandywine

22%:

- Gladden

proportion-pie-us.png

with 8 servers at 4% of North American log-ins...  pity there isn't an additional decimal point 0.0% to quickly sort them visually without having to peek at each individual one to see how they compare.

that or instead of having them display alphabetically, sort the pie by placement...  though i do not know how simple, or complicated that may make things.

anyway, still very interesting data.

thanx for doing it!

and so Nimrodel joins Riddermark @ 3% of NA log-ins.

who will be next, firefoot? or Elendilmir? or imladris?

as always Agra, thanks for bringing the data collected at Lux Aeterna to our attention.

very valuable info indeed!  much appreciation!

Yet again, Gilrain is snubbed as Crickhollow becomes the recommended server for new English-language players. Crickhollow was already near the top in terms of login activity.

making Gilrain the recommend would just be an utter dickish move to pull on new players.

additionally, making Eldar... or Riddermark, Nimrodel, Elendilmir, Firefoot, Dwarrowdelf, Vilya & Windfola would be a bad move.

none of those servers i mentioned should even continue as seperate shards.  if Turbine was actually intentioned for the long term that is.

directing new folk to any of the servers i mentioned, only increases the rate of decline as ALL servers above are below small.  not a good environment for a new player.  not only will the quit, they'll do it at a faster rate.

the diehards on those tiny servers will stay to the end regardless.

making Gilrain the recommended would be beyond stupid.  it should be mothballed, as a band-aid of recommended status won't work. but only further alienate new players.

funnel them where there is at least some semblance of a population.  but again, it is only a band aid, that is becoming less effective as time passes.
